friends

As my life goes on, I look back on the past,
And I realize who has been there for me.
I think about the friendships that may last,
And about the friends I’ll always want to see.

My friends are the ones that always care,
And will do anything just to have some fun.
My friends are the ones that have been there,
Despite anything I may have said or done.

My friends are the ones that touched my heart,
By being who they are and knowing what to say.
My friends are the ones that are a work of art,
Because they can easily make my day okay.

My friends are the ones that may have lied,
But ultimately, I know it was for my own good.
My friends are the ones that have at least tried,
When there is stuff I may have misunderstood.

These are the people that have a lasting effect,
And are the ones that I won’t be able to forget.
Even though they have never been perfect,
They are the greatest people I’ve ever met.
